Satyam Panda is a research fellow at Trinity College Dublin, Ireland. He has completed his Ph.D. in the Department of Civil Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Guwahati. He began his academic journey with a bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from Veer Surendra Sai University of Technology (VSSUT) in Burla, Odisa, India 2017. His impressive performance in the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2018, where he secured an all-India rank of 779 out of 153,078 students, led him to pursue a Master's degree in Structural Engineering at IIT Guwahati.
His passion for research and desire to delve deeper into stochastic dynamics and analysis of vibrating systems prompted him to convert his Master's program into a PhD program after completing his coursework. His hard work and dedication have earned him recognition, as he received the prestigious Prime Minister's Research Fellowship (PMRF), awarded to the country's most talented doctoral candidates to support their research pursuits.
Currently, Satyam's research focuses on understanding the stochastic dynamics of differentiable manifolds and Lie groups. He aims to extend this understanding to real-world applications in real-time system identification, damage detection, and structural control of dynamical systems in non-Euclidean space. With his commitment to advancing the field and his exceptional academic background, Satyam is poised to make significant contributions to his field.
